Northeast Fall Trip, September 2017

At the end of September 2017, we were able to take a trip to the Northeast of the US and Canada visiting locations we had not traveled to before. We flew into Albany, NY and spent the first night there, in the absolutely incredible Homewood Suites in Saratoga Springs, NY. The following morning, we ventured north of the border into Canada and onto the city of Montréal for two days of exploration. After Montréal, we headed back south over the border (and a 1hr 20min wait at the immigration crossing) and into Vermont to enjoy some timeshare and again Fall colors. Omly too quickly was it time to head back to Albany to fly home and have some great memories of a great trip.

After settling into our quaint hotel in Old Montréal, we ventured into the Latin Quarter and the surrounding Rainbow area. A lot of walking after a long drive, but how colorful we found the city and our first taste of poutine! Taken differently by members of the family, but 2/3rd acceptance!!

After a good night's sleep, we headed out for breakfast and a little more exploration. First exploration was the Montréal 1/2 marathon that just happened to be happening right in front of our hotel. After breakfast, we ventured down into the heart of Old Montréal and into the Old Port to enoy the sights.

All too quickly, it was time to leave Canada and head to the Smugglers Notch Resort in Jeffersonville, VT for some family time. Already, the fall colors were spectacular, as were the night skies.
